Friday 5th November 2021’s edition was one of the best editions. Friday was the last day of the Preliminary Stage of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ). Three (3) exciting contests were done in the Ashanti Region.
Friday’s National Science and Maths Quiz ended well with three (3) schools qualifying to join the four (4) schools that qualified on Thursday for the next stage of the competition. Winners in today’s contests with the exception of Adventist SHS, Bantama won their respective contests by a little margin.
KNUST SHS came from behind to win its contest against Simms SHS and Toase SHS. KNUST SHS who were down in Rounds 1, 2, and 3 did marvelously well in Round 4 to take the lead in the contest. KNUST SHS went ahead to win the contest with 44 points; booking a place in the next round of the competition.
Kumasi High School (KUHIS) narrowly escaped elimination today in its contest against Adu Gyamfi SHS and Afua Kobi Ampem SHS. KUHIS escaped with a narrow win obtaining 33 points against Adu Gyamfi’s 32year’sts and Afua Kobi’s 31 points.
Now, this has been one of the best contests I have ever witnessed on NSMQ as Adventist SHS, Bantama easily cruised past their counterparts, Juaso SHTS and Ejisuman SHS in the second contest of the day. Adventist SHS was able to secure 52 points at the end of the contest; 29 points ahead of second-placed Ejisuman SHS.
