A Nigerian man has been charged with leaking a sex tape featuring Zanele Sifuba, the Speaker of the ANC Free State legislature.
The young Nigerian male allegedly released Sifuba’s sex tape after she allegedly refused to pay R300,000, which is equivalent to 244,106.78 (GHS) in blackmail money.
The scandal appears to have started last week with the leak of screenshots from the actual video.
According to Central News, Malefane Bosanku Msimanga, Provincial Secretary of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and Edgar Legoale, Regional Chairperson of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), have condemned the ‘insensitive’ circulation of nude images of what appear to be the Speaker of the Free State legislature.

The party demanded that the person responsible for the sex tape leak be arrested. Msimanga also stated that this is happening to women and girls everywhere, not just high-profile women.
He added that it undermines efforts and the fight against gender-based violence, misogyny and femicide.
