The Penalty I Missed Is Difficult To Take – Dede Ayew Reacts After Black Stars’ Disqualification

The skipper of the senior national team, the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew, has at long last responded to the loss of the Black Stars against Uruguay, which prompted their exit from the tournament.

Yesterday was a miserable day for Ghanaians after the Black Stars squad lost their match against Uruguay at the FIFA World Cup competition in Qatar.

Talking during a press conference after the match yesterday, Dede Ayew stated how disheartened he is over their loss and exclusion from the tournament.

He expressed that he was anticipating awesome performace from the team than what they displayed yesterday. He included that all players on the team are to be faulted for the loss, and apologized to Ghanaians for leaving the game after the first 45 minutes.

“I’m disappointed because we had the opportunity to get to the next stage . The penalty I missed is difficult to take, the game was based on details and we did not get it right,” he explained.

This remark from Dede Ayew comes after the loss against Uruguay. Despite the fact that Uruguay scored 2 goals against Ghana, they likewise didn’t qualify for the round of 16, as South Korea scored Portugal two goals which got them 6 points on the group table.

Uruguay then again had just 4 points on the group table, rendering all of their attempts futile, hence, prompting their elimination from the competition as well.
