The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Murtala Mohammed, has requested that Ghanaians be forbearing on the Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew.
Mr. Murtala Mohammed has urged Ghanaians to refrain themselves from condemning Dede Ayew for missing the penalty in the game against Uruguay in the ongoing World Cup competition.
As per Murtala Mohammed, Ghanaians are being unfair to Dede Ayew on the grounds that he has been one of the most mind-blowing players up to this point.
Sharing his opinion, he said, “Ghanaians have been unfair to Dede, this gentleman has been working, there is no player in the Black Stars who has killed himself for the Black Stars than Dede. They hated his father and they are doing that to his son.”
“This guy has dedicated himself to the Black Stars. Tell me which Black Stars player has sacrificed himself for the team more than Dede,” he stated on the Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, December 3.
He also emphasized that, “I am not just defending Dede, I will defend anyone at any time, I defended Asamoah Gyan.”
The Ghana Black Stars were eliminated from qualification into the round of 16. Despite the fact that Uruguay scored 2 goals, they couldn’t qualify after South Korea scored 2 goals against Portugal in their final group match encounter.
