Kwabena Kwabena's Engagement In LGBTQ Community

Many Ghanaians assume that highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena is homosexual. This is due to the way he appears in public.

His clothing style represents a member of the LGBTQ community. Kwabena Kwabena has been widely chastised after photos of him on the VGMA 2023 red carpet went online.

In a recent interview with ZionFelix, the musician set the record right. The singer denied being homosexual.

He stated that being homosexual is not a club that individuals can join. Gay males, he claims, have feelings for their fellow guys, something he does not have.

Kwabena Kwabena stated that he has never felt compassion for his fellow man.

He defended himself, saying that wearing a certain garment does not make him gay, and that such a comment from his detractors is terrible and uninformed.

The prominent Ghanaian artist also said that he had his three children with women, proving that he is not gay.

Ghanaian Highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena, has reacted to Samini’s analysis of the official Qatar 2022 Black Stars theme song.

Without concurring or opposing Samini, he accorded Samini with the respect and courtesy he deserved, by affirming that he is a pro in the music business and has earned the privilege to criticize music.

Kwabena Kwabena, who was on a media tour for his ‘Fa Me Saa’ studio album, added his opinion to the recent matter on 3FM Drive with Giovani Caleb.

As indicated by him, he hasn’t put out any melody since he has not been contracted nor had the sensation to do as such. Yet, he concludes that Samini is qualified for expressing his viewpoint about any song.

“Yeah, that is his opinion. And he has every right to express his opinion. He’s a legend. He’s paid his dues as far as music is concerned. So if he criticizes, he has every right to criticise it. He has the locus and pedigree to criticise it,” he said.

This follows after the Kentos Music Band released “Osey” as a song for the Black Stars. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in conjunction with award-winning vocalist, King Promise, likewise revealed the official Black Stars song in headway of the World Cup on November, 15, 2022.

Samini in a tweet disclosed his dissastifaction with the new track for the Ghana Black Stars in spite of the fact that he didn’t obviously state which track he was talking about.

In his tweet, he wrote, “The new black starts song though, do we have to learn it before the world cup ? whoever chose it probably wrote it too. Eiiiii track na 3y3 ya saaa no! Hmmm a few of us could have done a better job at that Chale anaa meeb)dam lol. but vim still for the boys. Go Ghana.”

The vocalist then, at that point, went on to release his own Black Stars song of praise which he called; “Win Africa Win.

Ahuofe Patri has also at last emerged to address the gossipy tidbits about her relationship with Kwabena Kwabena. As per her, the connection between herself and Kwabena Kwabena is a concocted perception created in the minds of people. She underlined that there is nothing intimate about their relationship.

She went on to underscore that she has never dated Kwabena Kwabena previously, and it’s basically improbable that she will date him later on.

Affirming her point, she said, “I don’t even know him like that. The whole thing was a surprise to me and everybody. It was news to me too because I don’t know where all that came from.”

“They were all created in people’s minds. People were doing so much detective work. He is someone I know. I would say I know him just as I know Wendy Shay. I have met him too, just as I have met you, Abeiku. We are all in the entertainment industry,” she elaborated during a discussion on Accra-based channel, UTV.

Kwabena Kwabena and Lady Jay first met one another 10 years ago and have been following each other’s music careers from a distance.

When Lady Jay started working on her new EP, an opportunity arose when she met with Kwabena Kwabena after not seeing each other for years.

They started working on a remix of one of her most popular tracks titled “Odo Nana” which is his favorite track of her last EP “Anywhere you dey”. After working with one another, Lady Jay fell in love with Kwabena Kwabena’s process of music and connected to his passion for lyrics. They are currently in the talks of performing together with a new creative aspect that no one has seen before. “Odo Nana” was originally featured on a Guinness national advertising campaign and HBO’s TV show “I May Destroy You”.

Since then it has gotten a lot of international attention, and now with the addition of Ghana’s favorite love ambassador, Kwabena Kwabena, the song feels complete and is definitely going to be one of the biggest love songs of the year.

Lady Jay is currently living between Accra and Rome and is planning to release new singles and videos in the next few months with Wahala Entertainment. After the release of “Odo Nana” ft. Kwabena Kwabena is releasing “Clarity” on March 11 followed by her new EP “Anywhere 2 Dey” on April 22.

Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Kwabena Kwabena has come out to clear the waves about being gay due to his recent fashion style saying, they “have a long way to go.”

Kwabena Kwabena is one of the most popular musicians in Ghana, he has blessed the nation with so many songs and is now considered to be one of the Lengeds in Ghana.

‘Aso’ is one of his best songs which is loved by Ghanaians. He attracted the tag of being gay after months ago got tongues wagging when he shared photos of himself with his toenails painted and also showing off some female gestures.

He has since not only been tagged as gay but had also come under attacks for the photos.

Speaking on Hitz FM on Monday, he denied being gay, indicating he only loves his new-fashion style.

According to him, it was absurd for people to just use a mere photo to determine his sexuality.

“I love everything I am doing with my new style and fashion sense. It’s called Liberation. It’s basically about me finding myself.

“Painting my nails is basically my freedom; my liberation; it’s just for myself. I woke up one morning and decided to paint my nails. I had the habit of chewing my nails. Painting my nails has helped me in controlling that,” he revealed.

Reacting to the gay tag, he said, “People are actually talking about my sexuality from a photo? Wow! We have a long way to go.”

“For any human being, who makes judgment based on a photo, know what the person does in the bedroom, then that person is a supernatural human being and is it not wise. I am sorry,” he added.

Kwabena Kwabena, who has been quiet on the music scene for some time now, remains one of the country’s amazing singers.

He explained his absence from the scene saying he took a long break to work on his ‘Fa Me Saa’ album. Kwabena Yeboah, he indicated, produced about five tracks on the album, and DatBeatGod1 produced about four tracks. On Friday, he announced he would be dropping a new single titled, ‘Kwadede’.

Kwabena Kwabena attended Datus Complex in Bubuashie, Green Hill School in Achimota, and Aggrey Junior Secondary School. He is an old student of St. Peters Secondary School in Nkwatia and is a proud PERSCOBA. He started playing the guitar in church at the age of 14 and he also led the church choir. He then started hanging around Hush Hush studios featuring various songs. He got introduced to Hammer of the Last 2.

His breakthrough came in 2004 when he recorded his debut album ASO. Three of the songs were used in the soundtrack of Sparrow Productions’s The Perfect Picture. Some of his hits include Ka Kyere me, Trodom, Adea Waye Me, Fakye me, and Me Ne Woa. He released his second album, Dabi. Kwabena Kwabena has a strong passion for philanthropic work and believes in his Ghanaian environment. This passion spurred him on to set up the KwabenaKwabena Save A Life Foundation. He went on to achieve a number of local and international awards some of which include, the best vocal performance and the best songwriter.
