One Type Of Goal Ronaldo Has Scored In Football That Messi Hasn’t (Photos)

It’s been 10 years and over now but prolificity has been one of the significant things keeping Ronaldo and Messi ontop of their games.

When we talk of world-best players, no one on this earth will exclude either Cr7 or Messi. Statistically, both players have registered a combined 1550 goals so far in their careers and these goals have come in different ways such as penalties, free-kicks, headers, acrobatic kicks, among others.

However, in spite of the numerous approaches that they have utilized to bag so many goals in football, take a look at one type of goal Ronaldo scored that Messi has never registered in his career;

An Own Goal;

When a player scores against his team whether accidentally or not, such a player can be said to have registered his own goal.

For a player of Ronaldo’s quality, it can be really awkward having to be guilty of this type of goal. But the 36-year-old did score a goal against his team and it came during his time at Real Madrid back on 3rd February 2013.

On that occasion, Los Blancos were taking on Granada in an important La Liga match and were dominating possession until Cristiano Ronaldo unintentionally headed a Granada’s corner kick into his own net to give the home side the lead in the 21st minute.
