Veteran Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari has won hearts on social media by revealing a surprising aspect of herself that many of her admirers were unaware of.
The mother and multiple award-winning film producers were cooking fufu in a video circulating online. In Nadie’s example, an unnamed man was helping her by deftly flipping the dough in a mortar while pounding it. Fufu is a famous delicacy in Ghana.
The “Beyoncé” star also took advantage of the occasion to inform viewers who are not from Ghana about the origins of the dish and emphasize how fufu is a beloved Sunday staple in many Ghanaian homes.
Fufu is traditionally made by boiling ingredients like cassava and plantains to soft then pounding them in a large wooden mortar with a pestle until smooth and stretchy.
After that, the mixture is formed into a ball and served with various soup varieties.
With her recent appearance in a typical Ghanaian household setting, Nadia Buari, who is frequently perceived as a polished public figure, has altered that view.
