BabyJet U16 tournament has seen two amazing twins making waves in Ghana
Meet the twins that are making a name for themselves in the BabyJet U16 tournament – Sunyani Abesim twins Peter Baah Snr (Goalkeeper) and Peter Baah Jr (Striker) have extraordinary talent.
Baah Snr is a ball-playing goalkeeper who has been trained by a former Red Bull player and current Hearts of Oak goalie, which has accelerated his growth. Baah Snr has played five games in the baby jet competition, recording three clean sheets and helping his club win two penalty shootouts in the round of 16 and quarterfinals.
Baah Jr, the striker, has also appeared in four games, scoring once and assisting twice.
They are competing in the event alongside Liberty youth squad Taking Over Stars fc, who are now in the semifinals.
Current WAFA head coach Barnabas Awuni identified them in 2018, and then presented them to their current manager, Mr. Dennis Agyapong Boateng.
Coach Barnabas said the remarkable twins piqued his interest when he first saw them in 2018.
”The first time I saw the kid’s talent I knew with good guidance they will surely make it to the top. Both joined me during my days at Ghana Angel Soccer Academy (U10 level) at Prampram 2018 and I thought of getting an extra hand to support their development which made me introduce them to their current manager who gladly accepted even without seeing them play at the time” Coach Barnabas said
Speaking to their manager, Mr. Dennis Agyapong Boateng, he disclosed how he accepted to be part of the twins’ development process and is currently proud of their current development and progress.
”Yes, the coach told me about twins he discovered and I accepted to be part of their growth even without seeing them play. The first time I saw them play was last year at Offinso against Pac Academy and I was so impressed with their game. We currently have four boys under our care Peter Baah Snr (Keeper), Peter Baah Jr (striker), Alexander Ohene Boateng (midfielder) and Clifford (left back)” Mr. Dennis Agyapong Boateng Revealed
Currently, the twins are in JHS 3 preparing for BECE in August 2023.
