John Dramani Mahama Donates Ghc 5,000 To Atsu’s Family

Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has made a Ghc 5000 donation to the family of late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu.

On Monday, February 27th 2023, a delegation representing the former President paid a visit to the Twasam family in Accra.

Kwame Agbodza, Minority Chief Whip, signed the book of condolences on behalf of former President Mahama.

On behalf of the former President, he also presented the family with 25 cartons of water and GHC5000.

Other members of the delegation included Ada East MP and Deputy Chief Whip Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe and Madina MP Xavier Sosu.

Christian Atsu died in the earthquake that devastated Turkey and Syria in early February. Atsu, playing for Turking club Hatayspor at the time, was trapped under rubble in his building and would not be discovered until almost two weeks later.
