Job Vacancy: Cinematographer Needed At Pulse Africa (APPLY NOW)

At Pulse Africa, there is a job opening for a Cinematographer. Our video team is looking for an experienced cinematographer. The position holder will be reporting to the Director of Video.

The Cinematographer will be in charge of selecting appropriate technical equipment to produce eye-catching photographs for use in client videos, photoshoots, websites, social media, and a variety of other media. The job holder will be in charge of the aesthetic impact of our photos as well as the management of our camera and lighting teams in order to obtain results that satisfy our standards.

About Your Role At Pulse Africa:

The Cinematographer will be responsible for the job duties below:

1. Assist with studio production setup and set preparation
2. Regularly update and modification of procedures and processes as needed to ensure project completion
3. Frame camera shots for live studio or field productions as directed
4. Utilize equipment and technology to enhance ENG production
5. Follow shoot schedules and call sheets
6. Liaising with lighting and technical staff to ensure seamless execution of projects
7. Resolve technical or practical issues
8. Edit footage as needed

Skills that would make a candidate successful in this role:

1. You should have at least one-year hands-on experience in studio production and set up
2. You should have at least a Certificate in Cinematography or related field of study
3. Must have basic knowledge and experience in video editing
4. Must be able to work independently and take initiative
5. You should be creative and versatile
6. You should have good communication skills, be committed to your work and dependable
