Medikal’s Twitter Account Deactivated For Imitating The President

The record account of Ghanaian rapper Samuel Frimpong, recognized in the music scene as Medikal, has been suspended for mimicking the presence of president Nana Addo.

Medikal, a couple of days prior, changed his profile picture on Twitter to the photograph of the President. He likewise changed his username on Twitter to “Mr. President”.

The rapper’s Twitter account got suspended after a SarkNation soldier, an enthusiast of rapper Sarkodie, ratted him out by reporting the phenomenon to the vested powers at play.

The new CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, earlier made it crystal clear, and even gave an admonition to Twitter accounts that imitating other personalities without adding Parody, is a liable offense that is tantamount to having ones account suspended until further notice.

He tweeted a couple of days prior, stating that, “Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended”.

“Previously, we issued a warning before the suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning. This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue,” he sternly indicated.

Concluding his statement, he said, “Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark”.
