I will never work with Daddy Lumba again — Producer Roro speaks

Daddy Lumba

Roro, a veteran Ghanaian music producer, has stated that he will never collaborate with highlife legend Charles Kojo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba.

According to the now-remorseful producer, his decision was made after the singer ignored him when he suffered a heart attack during a live stage performance in Kumasi about five years ago.

During the performance, he said he became dizzy and collapsed.

Roro, who has been the mastermind behind the majority of Lumba’s songs for years, expressed disappointment in the singer following the unfortunate incident.

“He promised that he would let his doctors come and attend to me when I return to Accra but I haven’t heard from him since then,” Roro said.

In an interview with Agyemang Prempeh of TV XYZ, Roro mentioned that he will never work with the legend.

“I will never call him but if he is to call I might pick up because I don’t have his number but, I will never sit down to work with him. I won’t do that. I don’t have anything against him either,” he stated.

Roro, who is the youngest brother of renowned producer, Morris Babyface is widely known for his works with some Ghanaian music greats like Kokoveli, Samini, Obaa Christie, Grace Ashy and many others.
