The Squirrels of Benin fall short to the Black Galaxies of Ghana at the Cape Coast sports stadium
The local black stars now known as the Black Galaxies cruised over the Squirrels of Benin in a CHAN qualify.
The match took place on Sunday, 24th July 2022 at the Cape Coast sports stadium.
Coach Annor Walker started the match with a strong line up with the hope of getting Ghana to the CHAN tournament after missing out on the tournament in recent years.
Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh opened the scoring for the Ghanaians from the penalty spot in the first half.
Second-half goals from Mo Alhassan and Gladson Awako were enough to seal the victory for the Black Galaxies as they look set to play the second league encounter in Cotonou.
