The leader and flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor has released some dangerous curses on Delay, one of the Ghanaian influencers in the media space.
During an interview on Atinka FM, the controversial lawmaker expressed her complaints about Delay without holding back.
Akua Donkor claims that despite receiving an invitation to participate in The Delay Show, all she experienced was humiliation and rudeness on live air. Recounting the incident, Akua Donkor said that Delay made fun of her and said that she wasn’t mentally capable of being the leader of a political party after she proved she was the legitimate owner of the Ghana Freedom Party.
“I came all the way from Kumasi to her show, and the first thing she asked me was whether I had formed a political party. I said yes, and then she told me that I was mad. Delay said to me, ‘How can someone like you, who doesn’t know how to read or write, be the leader of a party? You’re mad,’” Akua Donkor recounted.
Akua Donkor, who was obviously offended by the comments, retaliated angrily on TV, saying that if Delay thought she was crazy, then Delay should also be asked why she invited her. When Delay allegedly mocked Akua Donkor, telling her that she should take a cane and beat her if she felt disrespected, the argument became more heated.
Instead of resorting to physical action, Akua Donkor issued a string of curses that have since stirred public controversy. “I won’t beat you, Delay. But let me tell you this: if you think I’m mad, then you will never get married, and you will never give birth. For the rest of your life, you will never find a good man, and you will never have a child,” Akua Donkor declared.
The seasoned politician did not hold back, emphasizing that Delay’s alleged insults about her being illiterate and uneducated were unwarranted, especially after she had taken the time and resources to travel for the interview. “I bought my own fuel, and drove from Kumasi to Accra just to be disrespected. You have accused me of being a witch in the past, and now you call me mad. This is my message to you,” she fumed.
Social media users have been responding strongly to Akua Donkor’s heated remarks, with many discussing the propriety of Delay’s interviewing technique and the suitability of Donkor’s answer. This high-profile dispute between the media personality and the seasoned politician is still going strong as the public weighs in, causing many to wonder what will come next in their verbal sparring.
It remains to be seen whether this episode will have long-term effects on either party, but one thing is for sure: Akua Donkor’s raw outburst has drawn national attention and solidified her status as one of Ghana’s most divisive political personalities.
