
A US based Ghanaian citizen Kofi More Thinz claims he hired people to bring down Nana Addo’s statue in Takoradi
A Ghanaian based in the United State of America in a video reveals that he hired people to destroy the statue of former president Nana Addo statue in Takoradi for $1,000.”
Pictures of the vandalized statue of the former president surfaced on social media on 13th January 2025 as some unknown residents of Sekondi-Takoradi kept their promise to bring down the statue.
The statue which was mounted and unveiled in the latter part of 2024 caused sparked conversations on the internet as many Ghanaians and residents of Sekondi-Takoradi expressed their displeasure in the building of the statue.
Many believed that the former president hadn’t done anything deserving of a statue in the city as they made references to the unfinished overhead interchange and uncompleted market project (Market Circle) in Takoradi.
There were rumours that the residents of Sekondi wanting to bring down the statue after the 2024 general election.
As promised, the people of Sekondi Takoradi brought down the statue on Monday morning as reported by many media houses in the city.
A resident of Takoradi named Kofi More Thinz who is currently out of the country in a video posted on TikTok stated that he hired people to bring down the statue for $1,000.”
