Ghanaian musician, Kojo Kurankye who is known as Ras Kuuku has indicated that he is ready for a legal battle should his SIM card get disconnected.
The award-winning reggae and dancehall musician is of the view that he is still under contract and that he was required to present identification while registering his SIM card.
This comes after the Minister of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful threatened that Ghanaians who don’t register their SIM cards will be disconnected.
Reacting to this, Ras Kukuu indicated in a recent interview that he had missed the deadline to re-register his SIM card. In his submission, he said;
“My SIM card isn’t activated yet, but I’ve already registered. I’m under contract with MTN.
Once they disconnect me, I’ll sue MTN because we have a contract, the contract has not been annulled, so why would you disconnect me when I paid and used my ID to register the number?”
