The National Democratic Congress made an offer to renowned content producer Kwadwo Sheldon, who has spoken out about it.
Kwadwo Sheldon mentioned that if he were willing to show up and pose the questions the party had prepared, the NDC would place GH¢5,000 on the table.
He clarified that during their initial phone call, NDC official George Opare Addo said he would get the money for event coverage as well as transportation costs or as a token to purchase petrol.
But he contacted the official again on his way to the event to ask for directions to the location. George Opare Addo informed him that he was to meet with him for his invitation, the money, and the questions that were prepared for him after getting the directions over the phone.
He called all the parties he was going to the program with and asked them not to come after learning this, making the decision to never go to the event again.
Kwadwo Sheldon has addressed issues concerning the NDC town hall meeting invitation and the recent dare by the party's National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo, providing a detailed account of their conversation and explaining why he declined to attend the event. https://t.co/6SCVaxsQ0q pic.twitter.com/3GLuq1slWA
