Kofi Kinaata makes history with the comeback of “Made in Taadi” concert
Arguably the biggest music export to have emerged from the Western Region Martin Kofi King Arthur known to Ghanaians as Kofi Kinaata held his annual musical concert Made in Taadi over the weekend and it was an eyesaw event.
The concert has been non existent in the past two to three years as a result of Covid 19 and the unavailability of a proper venue to host the event. With Ghanaians and the people of Sekondi Takoradi anticipating the comeback of the biggest musical concert in the region, Kinaata took to many radio stations in the country and the region to promote the event.
Kinaata held a youth seminar for the people of the city on Friday before the main event on Saturday. With artists like Medical, Eno Barony, Lasmid, Beeztrap, Fameye, Samini and Kinaata himself on bill, it was clear the event was going to be a mind blowing one.
The event that took place at the Takoradi Sports Club (Last hour beach) saw thousands of people all over Ghana coming to witness the come back of Made in Taadi. The concerns of security was swept under the carpet as security on the night was top notch with no fight outbreaks or complaints of people losing their phones.
This year’s “Made in Taadi” concert gave upcoming artists in the Western and Central Region the chance to showcase their talents before the main artists on the bill mounted the stage.
Kofi Kinaata started his performance with a trilling live band music, performing all the songs on his KofiOKofi album. From Auntie Ama to Saman, the people of Takoradi sang the lyrics to Kofi’s song back to back. He later came back on stage to perform with DJs and the other artists he has songs with.
To my surprise, the Takoradi Sports Club was still filled to capacity even at 7:20 am on Sunday morning as Beeztrap performed his popular song Fly Girl.
The love and support the people of Sekondi Takoradi has for Kofi Kinaata is overwhelming and they proved that on Saturday at the Made in Taadi concert.
Kinaata after the event took to social media to express his profound gratitude to the people of Sekondi Takoradi and Ghana at large for the love and the support throughout the show.
