Bayern Munich secure the services of Joao Palhinha from Fulham
Fulham has agreed a deal in principle with Bayern Munich for the sale of Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha.
Thr former Sporting Lisbon youth player finally joins the German giants after he saw a switch to the Bundesliga collapse in January.
At age 29, Joao Palhinha joins Bayern with huge Premier League and national team experience. Palhinha was part of the Portuguese team which was eliminated at the ongoing Euros by France.
The Portuguese played 33 matches for Fulham last season, starting 31 times and scoring 4 goals in the process. He expressed his delight in joining Bayern by saying;
“It’s a dream come true for me and I’m very proud of that”.
“I’m looking forward to the atmosphere and the fans at Allianz Arena. I want to win titles. I will give everything to achieve that”.
“This is one of the happiest days of my life”.
Joao Palhinha joins his Premier League counterpart Michael Olise who also joined Bayern Munich last week from Crystal Palace.
