Kuami Eugene has finally come out to reveal that Sarkodie’s Happy Day is not a political song.
Kuami Eugene is known to be one of the best Ghanaian contemporary Highlife musicians, he goes by the real name Eugene Kwame Marfo, but is widely known in the music industry as Kuami Eugene.
He was recently featured on Sarkodie’s song titled Happy Day which many Ghanaians tag as a political song because of one particular line Sarkodie brought in his rap. Kuami Eugene has now gotten the time to debunk claims made by Ghanaians who tag the “Happy Day” composed by Sarkodie as a political song.
Kuami was recently interviewed by Zionfelix on his Uncut show, which is where a long conversation landed Kuami Eugene on the issue of people tagging the Happy Day song political. The Ghanaian sensation made it known that his main reason for doing the collaboration with Sarkodie on that song was not because he wanted to get involved with politics.
Kuami Eugene went on to say that the song was never politically affiliated with any political party in Ghana. He made it known that political parties themselves were claiming ownership of the award-winning song and are doing so for their own reasons and not because the rapper composed it for them.
The Ghanaian Highlife sensation went on to say that the person in the right position to answer as to whether the song was a political song or not will be the composer, Sarkodie because to his best of knowledge, for him he was only featured on a song, not a political song.
