Gyakie Reveals How TikTok Helped Her ‘Forever’ Song To Get To A Bigger Market

Talented Ghanaian songstress, Jackline Acheampong who is known as Gyakie has revealed how TikTok helped her ‘Forever’ song to get to a bigger market.

She was sharing her thoughts on comments that TikTok is killing a lot of Ghanaian songs when she made this known. Her comments come after some Ghanaians including top music executives indicated that they feel that TikTok has caused more harm than good to Ghanaian musicians.

However, Gyakie holds a different view and she made this known in a recent submission on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM.

In her submission, she said;

“I think the longevity of a song depends on the song. It’s not really about TikTok. TikTok helped my ‘Forever’ song get to a bigger market.

People still dance Kelvyn Boy’s Down Flat even though it’s been a while since it was released. It came with a dance routine on TikTok too. So like I said, it depends on the song.”
