Gyakie Has Become The Most Streamed Female Ghanaian Artiste On Spotify

Gyakie fans celebrate her for being the most-streamed female artiste in Ghana after Tems on Spotify.

Gyakie is one of the best afrobeat singers in Ghana, she has been in the industry for a very long time with a lot of hit songs. She made a global hit song titled Forever which projected her name on so many big platforms internationally.

She is with no doubt now one of the most successful female musicians in Ghana, one thing people are yet to notice is how she is branded, her team is doing an amazing job and I think this is what many should learn from.

Gyakie won the heart of many Ghanaian and other countries as they all jam to her song ‘forever’, she made a remix of that song and she featured one of the best musicians in Nigeria Omah Lay, the remix then jumped to take the number 1 spot on the Top Shazamed Songs of 2021 in Nigeria.

With stats, I think Gyakie’s song is doing well in Nigeria as it peaked at number 12 on Apple Music Top Songs of 2021 in Nigeria. Gyakie is the only Ghanaian artiste with entries on both charts and that is something I love about her team making sure they promote her well.

Now let dive into what she has done with her career or how her journey in music is going. Gyakie released her first-ever single titled “Love is Pretty” in February 2019, she never rest after that song, the afrobeat singer then came back with “Never Like This.” She released a five-track EP, titled Seed in August 2020.

The “Forever” song is on the Seed EP and is being airplay in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. It has also topped music charts such as Billboard’s Top Thriller Global and Shazams Top 200 charts. Gyakie released a remix of “Forever” with Nigerian singer Omah Lay in March 2021.

She is currently under contract with Sony Music Entertainment, RCA Records UK, and Sony Music Africa.
