Before her attempt at breaking the record ended on Friday morning, Afua performed for five days, six hours, and fifty-five minutes.

Following her incredible accomplishment, Afua Asantewaa addressed the public and thanked everyone who contributed—even those who were unable to visit the Akwaaba Village.

One Ghanaian journalist named Abrantie Kwasi Gyamfi was able to contact Guinness World Records through her efforts and the many comments left by her countrymen under the different posts on the official Guinness World Records Facebook page.

The body’s response demonstrated that Afua and her associates still needed to provide the required evidence before they could be taken seriously as authentic.
