A moving scene occurred during KODA’s memorial service as his coworkers came together to give him a sincere sendoff.
Many gospel musicians attended the event, and everyone gave excellent solo performances. The musicians sang “Yesu Adi Nkunim,” a well-known song by KODA, on stage together.
They took turns leading the anthem under the direction of seasoned gospel leader Elder Mireku, and occasionally they sang in unison to produce a stirring homage.
The musicians’ melodies filled the air as the pallbearers raised KODA’s coffin, signaling the start of the burial site procession.
The family was led by a group of trumpet players to the private burial as they followed the parade.
The music business came out in full to offer KODA their last respects. Joe Mettle, Uncle Ato, Ceccy Twum, Mary Ghansah, Sonnie Badu, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Eugene Zuta, Francis Amo, Diana Hamilton, Nii Okine, Akese Brempong, and Elder Mireku were among the prominent guests.
On Friday, September 20, 2024, the somber all-white funeral was held at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), Dominion Centre on Spintex Road in Accra.
Following the service, KODA’s memory was honored with a private burial attended by family, friends, and admirers from all over the nation.
