The case of this Takoradi fake pregnant woman has been once again been adjourned.

The case involving Josephine Panyin Mensah, the Takoradi fake pregnant woman who is now facing the court for faking her pregnancy and kidnapping in the Western Region of Ghana has once again been adjourned.

Many people are still waiting on the court’s decision on what punishment Josephine Panyin Mensah will face. The family and friends of this woman are all in the waiting pipe to know what decision the court will take on the case.

This case was supposed to be heard again on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Takoradi Harbor Court A, Josephine’s Lawyers were all ready to mount their defense but the case was then adjourned.

The leading Lawyer for Josephine Panyin Mensah is Lawyer Fiifi Buckman. The Lawyer has indicated in an earlier interview that he had already received all the needed documents from the prosecutor and that they were going to court to begin the case management of the proceedings.

They were ready to take the statements of the witnesses in the case for the full trial and cross-examinations to begin but there was no show.

The entire court premises was empty with no one available for the case except lawyers for Josephine Panyin Mensah.

He made it known that as they were getting ready for the case, the court registrar informed them that the judge sitting on the case was not available and due to that the case will not be heard as scheduled. A new date for hearing (December 14, 2021) was however announced to them.

Josephine Panyin Mensah and her family who were almost at the court premises were informed about the changes. They were told to go back home.

Lawyer Philip Fiifi Buckman indicated that when they meet on the new adjourned date, they will begin the process with the case management.

Josephine Panyin Mensah is facing charges of deceiving a public officer and publication of false news to cause fear and panic. She took the entire nation by surprise when she disappeared and her family informed the police that she has been kidnapped.

It was also rumoured that she was kidnapped with a nine-month-old pregnancy, but the police investigations after she was found revealed otherwise. Medical examinations revealed that she was never pregnant and that has landed her in serious trouble at the court.
