On Friday, Nana Kwamena Ansah I, the Chief of Nsawam, bestowed upon Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 Presidential Candidate, the title of “Chief of the Internet/Web,” or Nana Ntentankesehene.
This happened during the Vice President‘s courtesy visit to him in the Eastern Region while on a campaign tour.
Dr. Bawumia was awarded this esteemed honor for his innovative endeavors in utilizing technology to propel Ghana’s progress via the digitalization program.
Dr. Bawumia’s campaign blitz in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency began with the visit. Dr. Bawumia gave a speech to the chiefs at Nsawam Palace outlining his goals for Ghana’s future.
Following that, Dr. Bawumia went to the Nsawam Market, where vendors greeted him with open arms and spoke with the people living in Adoagyiri Zongo, outlining the accomplishments of the NPP government and expressing his vision.
In order to show his capacity to inspire and bring Ghanaians together, Dr. Bawumia visited with important stakeholders, such as Nsawam chiefs, Christian leaders, and Muslim leaders.
He emphasized the importance of continuing with the NPP government to build on its achievements, outlined his plans to transform the country through digitalization, and highlighted the benefits of digitalization.
Dr. Bawumia also criticized his opponent, Mr. Mahama, stating that he will only serve a single term and therefore won’t be accountable to Ghanaians.
He urged residents to vote for him, asserting that Ghana needs a leader with new ideas, integrity, and best practices to develop the nation.
