Akon Dignifies Black Sherif With Words Of Commendation – Says He’s A Beast On Stage

Senegalese-American singer and record label owner Akon, has applauded Black Sherif’s showmanship while criticizing performances from American musicians.

He got straight to the point when he described American artistes as poor stage performers who appear on stage restless and under the influence of drugs.

It comes as no surprise that Black Sherif is an important person to the Ghetto hit maker, seeing as he capitalizes on every given chance he gets to laud the young and talented artiste.

Akon on an earlier note described Sherif on BBC Radio 1Xtra as an extraordinary musician who reminded him of himself during his early days in music.

Talking about Black Sherif’s stage performing ability, Akon said the youthful entertainer is a beast who stands out on his own, whenever he performs.

He additionally stated that no American artiste can thrill an energized crowd with such zeal and experience, except for when the artiste in question is under the influence of drugs.

The 49-year-old affirmed he was at the 2022 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards, and saw Sherif perform not long before Nigeria’s Fireboy.

Black Sherif “is a beast!” he commended once more, remembering the night with Zeze Millz.

“He’s African,” Akon indicated when he was asked how a young boy could vibe with a crowd in such a manner.

“We’re a little different when it comes to staging presence,” he emphasized proudly.

“Those [people] will be wobbling with their pants hanging half down, bored as hell, half-asleep because they are high as hell on stage,” he said.

“In Africa, we wake up [ready]. Look at all these YouTube clips of all these kids from Uganda and how they’ll be…,” he endeavorrd to imitate the viral dance routines. “These kids are performers!” he noted.

He also said: For “us” Africans, “it comes naturally,” he voiced. “Watching the kids from Africa [it’s clear] that it’s in their blood.”

“Performance is like second nature for us, so I wasn’t surprised at all to see Black Sherif [on the MOBO stage, where] he was just a beast.” he expressed.

“And Fireboy has his other type of swag that comes with him,” he subtly concurred.

Black Sherif held his first headline show in Ghana at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, and entertained a huge number of fans with extraordinary performances.
