Abuja, – According to FCT-Abuja’s report, one of the bishops who attended the APC vice presidential candidate Senator Kashim Shettima’s introduction has been kidnapped by irate youths at an Abuja market.

Recall that Nigerians were outraged by the Bishops’ attendance at Shettima’s presentation. Numerous people charged the APC with sending fake bishops to the event in an effort to diminish the Muslim-Muslim ticket agenda.

CAN’s position on fake Bishops who attended Shettima’s unveiling

In the midst of the controversy, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) declared that the bishops unveiled during Kashim Shettima’s unveiling were fake bishops.

The association insisted that the Bishops were only employed by the APC to guarantee support for the Muslim-Muslim ticket that the APC had promised.

According to the Daily Trust, a social media video went viral and featured a man with a lookalike of one of the bishops who attended the Shettima’s unveiling.

A furious mob was seen pulling the man while yelling “Fake bishop” and “This is one of the so-called bishops Tinubu used” in the footage.

Adeniran wrote:

“Today at Dei-Dei building materials market in Abuja, this clergyman was molested and beaten when they identified him as one of the clergymen who attended the unveiling of Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate. His name is Rev Chika. He hails from Agulu in Anambra state.”
