Davido has applauded the Supreme Court’s confirmation of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s election.
Ghnewslive reported earlier on social media that the Supreme Court on Tuesday confirmed Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the July 16, 2022, gubernatorial election, as the Osun Governor.
The Supreme Court’s five-member panel, presided over by Justice John Okoro, affirmed the verdict of the Court of Appeal, which confirmed Adeleke as governor of Osun state.
The Supreme Court ruled in a decision read by Justice Emmanuel Agim that Oyetola failed to present sufficient evidence to establish his claim of overvoting in the July 16, 2022 gubernatorial election.
The panel also unanimously found that the refusal of the Osun election tribunal to address the preliminary objections submitted by Adeleke and the PDP at the trial stage amounted to a failure to conduct a fair hearing and rendered the entire procedure null and void.
Davido remarked in a tweet via his verified Twitter profile that his uncle will continue to surprise his opponent.
