Meghan Markle Didn’t Accompany Prince Harry To Balmoral
Katie Nicholl, a royal specialist, commented on the situation.
“It’s understood that the family wanted Prince Harry to be there, even though he was unable to get to Balmoral in time to see his grandmother, but Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was not, we understand, invited to join the family. She has said she will go to Balmoral another time, but I think it is quite significant that Prince Harry traveled to Balmoral on his own without his wife.“
“Tensions were so high and there was no way Meghan could have gone to Balmoral,” inside sources told Page Six. “The fact the Sussex camp did say both Harry and Meghan were going — and then quickly retracted that statement — will tell you everything you need to know about the drama behind the scenes.”
According to certain sources, the plan for Meghan to accompany Harry to Scotland was canceled because King Charles III was not in favor of it. Some speculated that Meghan had remained back out of respect for Kate Middleton, who had also not attended the Queen’s visit to Balmoral.
