Batgirl Movie Cast Revealed!

If you’ve seen the TV series, Gotham, then you’ve probably heard about the upcoming Batgirl movie. The premise of the movie is based on the DC Comics character Barbara Gordon. The movie was produced by Burr! Productions and DC Films was originally intended to be a standalone installment in the DC Extended Universe. If you want to know what you can expect from the movie, read on! In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the new film’s cast, including Michael Keaton and Priyanka Chopra.

Warner Bros. Discovery

Warner Bros. Discovery executives defended the decision to cancel “Batgirl” and the holiday-themed “Scoob!: Holiday Haunt” during a Q2 earnings call on Thursday. Zaslav emphasized that the company is focused on its DC superhero properties, such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. “We have a 10-year plan for DC,” he said. “We’re not trying to take the direction of Marvel,” he added.

The decision to cancel the project, despite having already been shot and in post-production, has prompted many fans to call for its release. Some fans have even asked for a mailing to Warner Bros. Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg said he wanted to release the “Scott Snyder Cut” of the film, while others have urged the studio to #SaveBatgirl. The studio hasn’t confirmed the report, but the decision has caused quite a stir on Twitter.

Priyanka Chopra

A recent interview with OK Magazine reveals that Priyanka Chopra is interested in playing the role of Batgirl. While she has already garnered a huge fan base for her work in Quantico and Baywatch, it seems that the actress has her eye on a role in a superhero movie. Chopra is 34 years old and could play either Catwoman or a member of the Gotham City Sirens.

While she is still a relatively unknown name in Hollywood, she has a long history in Bollywood, where she voiced the role of Kamala Khan in the hit Marvel Avengers Academy. The actress has been acting in over 60 movies in India, so casting her in the role of Batgirl would give Warner Bros an advantage in several emerging markets. As a result, a lot of people have already expressed their interest in playing the Batgirl character, and Joss Whedon has reportedly said that he will not cast a ‘name’.

Michael Keaton

Warner Bros. has shelved the Batgirl movie. The movie will not air on HBO Max or be released in theaters. Despite being an Oscar nominee for Birdman, Michael Keaton has not played the role of Batman since Batman Returns almost 30 years ago. Nonetheless, the actor will reprise his role as the Dark Knight in The Flash. It is unclear when the movie will be released. Until then, we can only dream of seeing the movie in theaters.

According to Variety, the movie will take place before The Flash. The film was originally supposed to explain how Keaton’s Batman exists in DC’s cinematic multiverse. The film’s release date was pushed back to 2023, but has since been moved up by a month. Keaton is currently working on his next Batman movie, which is still untitled. But if Keaton is cast as Batman, then we can expect a very different movie.

Brendan Fraser

Batman fans, you’re in for a treat: a new superhero film, and it stars Brendan Fraser as the titular DC Comics hero, Barbara Gordon. The movie, produced by DC Films and Burr! Productions, was originally intended to be the first installment in the DC Extended Universe. However, it has not received the critical acclaim it deserves. While the film received generally positive reviews from critics and fans alike, some critics feel the movie falls short of its potential to be a major blockbuster.

The actress is known for her role as the daughter of Commissioner Gordon and the most famous Batgirl character, Betty Kane. But, Fraser’s role as the Batgirl is not quite as simple. Despite being a beloved comic book character, Fraser has a history of acting, having landed the lead role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale. In addition, he also appeared in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and the recently released No Sudden Move. Regardless of the role, she’s a great choice to play Barbara Gordon.

Christina Hodson

Warner Bros. has signed Christina Hodson to pen the script for the Batgirl movie. She previously wrote the script for the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. In addition to writing Batman, Hodson has written “The Eden Project” and “The Fugitive.” In addition to her work on these projects, she has appeared on the TV show Black List three times. In a recent interview with Variety, Hodson discussed her plans for the Batgirl movie.

Joss Whedon previously attached himself to directing the “Batgirl” movie but stepped down from the project two months ago. WarnerMedia stepped in again, and in May announced that Christina Hodson had written the script. Despite the departure of Joss Whedon, Warner Bros. is pressing ahead with the film. While no other details have been shared, Hodson recently teased on Instagram that she has a copy of the script.
