ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all mechanical engineering and construction activities and plans to ensure Obuasi Project underground infrastructure and supporting infrastructure objectives and milestones are achieved in line with defined expectations and best for project outcomes.
This includes managing, overseeing, and monitoring all underground infrastructure, Paste Plant, and supporting underground infrastructure engineering and construction activities. Managing a multi-disciplined Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contractor, subcontractors, and other third-party contractors, to ensure works are undertaken in line with health, safety, and environmental obligations, design specifications, quality requirements, budget, and schedule expectations.

2. Geotechnical Engineer.
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
To coordinate and implement geotechnical systems and processes to ensure the stability of mine excavations, whilst delivering on the business objectives/targets. To mitigate geotechnical risk by identifying geotechnical hazards and advising appropriate actions.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
This position is responsible for all safety processes and procedures on Surface, including third parties operating on-site surface operations. Reporting to the site Safety Superintendent – Surface, the surface safety officer enforces company safety policy and work procedures. This position works with the site superintendent, company surface safety officer, and general superintendent to complete accident investigations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and third parties.

It further seeks to augment the labour strength of the Emergency response team across the operations and satisfies the requirement of Fire and Rescue Brigades in the Minerals and Mining Regulations, 2012 LI2182 section 548.
