Chale Wote Street Art Festival To Be Held Virtually

The 2021 edition of the Chale Wote Street Art Festival will be held virtually due to the corona virus.

One of the popular festivals celebrated in Ghana is the Chale Wote Street Art Festival. It is a full-week event celebrated by the Gas in the Greater Accra region. It has been a festival that has been in existence for quite some time now.

A lot of people travel to from places to join the Gas to celebrate and also have a feel of the pure and rich Ghanaian culture.

For the first time, the celebration couldn’t come on last year because of the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.

Due to the high rate of spread, there was a directive from the government governing social gatherings. This solely affected the celebration.

Since last year, the celebration could not come on, a lot of people are hoping that the festival will be coming on this year. Most stakeholders had hoped this year since the spread of the pandemic is going down.

Sadly, the organizers of the festival have revealed that the event this year will be held virtually. This means, the various stakeholders will still have a feel of the Ghanaian culture but this time virtually.

This was made known after a statement released by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly and the organizers of the Chale Wore festival.

Clearly this year’s edition of the festival is scheduled for 22nd August 2021 and will be held virtually.
