President Nana Addo has made history as the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana has revealed the  2020 election is the first election to be fully funded by the government since democracy.

Mrs Jean Adukwei Mansah(EC CHAIRPERSON) as she speaks at the Inter-Party Advisory Committee workshop, she indicated that the 2020 elections was fully funded by the government as there was no donor funding during the electoral management processes. This has become a plus for the sitting President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as he is the first president to fully fund the country’s elections.

This was what she said; “It is important that we recognize the feats we achieved through the 2020 electoral processes to document best practices and experience and ensure that the successful strategies we adopted do not fall through the cracks of inordinate fault-finding and critique.”
