Ghanaians react after the Senior Minister, Hon. Yaw Osafo-Marfo’s advised Ghanaians on measures to escape the 1.75% Momo Tax.

The senior minister of Ghana has advised Ghanaians on how they can escape the 1.75% momo tax after the Finance Minister’s 2022 Budget Statement which was presented to the floor of Parliament on 17th November 2021.

From the budget the ministry of finance read, the Ghana government is set and ready to levy all financial transactions with a percentage of 1.75 on all transactions from GHC 100 and above.

Now Ghanaians went wild after hearing this budget and not even a single layman is happy about the momo tax.

Senior Minister Hon. Yaw Osafo-Marfo has also come to advise Ghanaians on measures that can be used to escape the 1.75% tax and according to him, Ghanaians should withdraw less than 100 Ghana cedis from their Momo accounts in order to dodge the tax.

Following his advice, many Ghanaians took to social media platforms to express their dissatisfaction with the government’s policy on the Momo Tax. They share their views and thoughts about what the Senior Minister said.
