Elizabeth I was the daughter of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. She had a reputation for wisdom and learning and was very popular with the people. She surrounded herself with capable advisors and a military force, including Raleigh and the Cecils. She was also the last monarch to marry a woman, so her daughter, Elizabeth II, was the last of her line.

King Edward I was born in 1306. He succeeded his father as king at the age of thirteen. His reign was brief, lasting only two months, before he was murdered in the Tower of London. Later, King Richard III declared the Princes in the Tower to be illegitimate. The family of England was divided in many ways.

The Royal Family Of England

The second son of King George III, George VI became King George’s successor on the throne in 1936 after his brother abdicated. His first son, Prince Edward VIII, married an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. The couple also had four children together: Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis.

The Queen was also a close friend to Sarah Churchill, the Duchess of Marlborough. Queen Elizabeth was Queen consort to King George VI until 1952. She is best known for her support of the British people during the war and for her long life. Currently, the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II, Edward, Earl of Wessex, is a former theater producer and active in charity.

In contrast to James I, George III was not an illegitimate son. He was a shy man with a bad stutter. However, his steady qualities made him popular with the British people. His mother, Queen Elizabeth, and sister, Mary, supported their son. He is buried in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

The Royal Family of England began its monarchy in the second century BC. At that time, Celtic and Belgic tribesmen migrated to Britain from continental Europe and established various tribal kingdoms. The Brigantes came from the area that is now Burgundy, and the Parisiii were from the area of modern Paris.

After Edmund II’s death, his half-brother Canute became king of all of England. He gained popularity among English people by sending his army to Denmark.

Then, he married Emma of Normandy, the widow of Aethelred II. In 1017, Canute divided England into four earldoms – East Anglia, Mercia, and Northumbria. He also ordered the tide not to come in.
