Sugar Daddy Vs Side Chick: After their relationship broke down, Deborah Adablah, a woman, took her sugar daddy to court earlier this year for not keeping his word. The court has now ruled on Deborah’s case, which took several months to resolve.
Deborah’s lawsuit against her ex-sugar daddy, Mr. Nimako, was dismissed by the High Court, according to a report on Graphic Online. The court stated that Deborah’s petition lacked validity and demanded that Deborah pay Mr. Nimako GHC10,000.
The court chaired by Justice John Bosco Nabarese ruled today, November 28, 2023, that their relationship was immoral and not acceptable in society and that Deborah’s written claim lacked a plausible basis for action.
Deborah made history in Ghana when she became the first confident side chick to sue her sugar daddy for breaking up with her, citing among other reasons that he had promised to pay her rent and allowance every month for three years, but had broken off their relationship before the contract was set to expire.
This is Deborah’s last setback because, back in May of this year, the court had given her the order to give the car that Mr. Nimako had purchased her to the registrar of the court while they awaited a decision on the primary case.
What this also means is that Mr. Nimako gets to take back his car as he had smartly registered the car in his name before giving it to her to use for her usual rounds. In Deborah’s writ she was asking the court to force Mr. Nimako to transfer the title of the Honda Civic to her name.
