Abdul Salis Samed joins Sunderland from RC Lens as he looks to rediscover his form
Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Salis Samed has completed a loan switch from French Ligue 1 side RC Lens to join Sunderland in the English Championship.
Salis was relegated to the reserve side by 31-year-old manager Will Still as he considered Salis’s form was not good enough to make his team.
The Ghanaian midfield dynamo was an integral part of RC Lens’s rise to to-level football and also played a major role in their Uefa Champions League season.
Salis is reported to be joining the Black Cats on loan for the rest of the season with the hope of staying clear of injury and getting his career back on track.
Who knows, we might even have another Ghanaian joining Partey, Ayew, Issahaku, and Kudus in the EPL come next season.
