Police Arrest Man For Posting Blasphemy Comment Against Prophet Muhammad

In Nigeria, the Sokoto State Police Command has arrested one Isma’ila Sani Isah for supposedly posting an irreverent remark against the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on his online media platform.

Sani was said to have offered the supposed remark in dissent of not finding a neighborhood government line of work. In the post, Isah blamed one man in their space for denying him a proposal despite his monetary issue.

The Sokoto State Government in a proclamation on Friday, July 9, denounced in most grounded terms the sacrilege against the Prophet, adding that the suspect has been arrested and investigation is progressing.

The state Commissioner for Information, Hon. Isah Bajini Galadanci, who expressed this while instructions newsmen in the interest of Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at Government House, Sokoto, said the speculation will be brought under a capable court of law upon completion of the investigation.

He cautioned that hence the state government would not excuse such demonstrations against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) or some other prophet of God or His sacred texts.
