NSMQ mourns 2021 Ketasco finalist James Lutterodt

The National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) has expressed sadness over the sudden death of James Lutterodt, one of the contestants who represented Keta Senior High Technical School in the 2021 finals.

Lutterodt and his mates – Francisca Lamini and Bright Senyo Godzo – went on a winning run to come third in the final two years ago.

“As a history-making #NSMQ2021 Keta SHTS team member, he made his school and region proud as the first school from the Volta Region at the NSMQ Final,” NSMQ tweeted on Monday.

In a release issued by the National Maths and Science Organization Board Committee, it said, “Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”

James Lutterodt was reported dead on Monday, July 3 with further rumours that he was poisoned. He was 19 years.

He was set to travel to the US to further his studies.
