Nigerian megastar, Wizkid, has taken an aggressive approach of confrontation to advance an angle of exploitation he began days prior, when he described the rap game as boring and undeniably dead.
Starboy was quoted saying, “Afrobeats is the new pop. I sold two million copies in America off of one song! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond record. If I’m being honest, I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore.
I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows.”
His savage remarks has driven the dimension of social media into a state of unrest, provoking some Nigerian rappers to launch an attack at him, with respect to his unsound interpretation of opinion.
Getting back in the saddle to support his stance, the award-winning Nigerian whiz, said rappers are broke, and not meriting his consideration.
The vocalist has since explained that he doesn’t regard them as creative rappers.
Wizkid indicated in a now-erased tweet on his official Snapchat that only the rappers Nasty C from South Africa, as well as Sarkodie and Black Sherif from Ghana could be viewed as rappers, other than that, the rest of them are blockheads.
He clearly stated, “Y’all not even rappers! 😂 nasty C/Sarkodie/black sherif the only rappers in Africa. Y’all dumb fucks Y’all keep sending una popsy rap videos! I go dey watch maybe I fit help una mama life! 😎 “
