In a recent interview with DJ Nyaami, Lily Addison, a Ghanaian woman who now calls the UK home, spoke about her accomplishments since moving to the country.
In a video that was uploaded on SVTV Africa’s YouTube page, Lily said that only two years after leaving her home country, she was able to buy her first property.
After being pressed for more information, the woman from the UK revealed that, in 1999, after their father, who she had largely relied upon, passed away, her two sisters in another country pooled their resources, sought for a fashion design school, and paid for her flight to the UK.
Lily started a career in the fashion industry after graduating, but the sector wasn’t successful, so she moved to a corporate role.
The mother of two explained how she would be able to save enough money and maintain solid credit to buy a home of her own, driven by her desire to give her children a secure environment.
