“We have the money to sign Nico Williams” Joan Laporta claims
Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has given Barcelona fans high hopes in their pursuit for Ghanaian born Spanish winger Nico Williams.
The Athletic Bilbao winger has been linked with a move to Barcelona all summer after bursting into a blistering form at the ongoing Euros in Germany.
Looking at the financial strength of FC Barcelona, many doubt their capabilities of signing the 22 year old forward.
Speaking to Catalunya Radio, club president Laporta had these to say concerning Williams:
“I like Nico, a lot. I can say that financially we can make it happen”.
“It’s result of work that has been done over all these years to reach this point. We could, of course, face a signing of this level”.
National teammates Lamine Yamal and Pedri had already expressed their desire to play with the winger at the Camp Nou.
Williams and the Spanish national team are currently at the semi final stage of the Euro 2024.
