Ghana Police Service has officially taken to their social media pages to disclosed the real cause of the Appiatse-Bogoso Gas explosion.
The Ghana Police Service has made an official report which indicates that their preliminary investigation has established the real cause of this sad accident, hitting on the matter they made it known that a mining explosive vehicle moving from Tarkwa to Chirano mines collided with a motorcycle resulting in the explosion.
In their statement on social media, the Police administration made it known that most of the victims have been rescued and are on admission at various hospitals and clinics within the Bogoso Municipality of the Western Region.
The Ghana Police Service has also notified the public that reinforcement of resources and personnel have been dispatched to the area to assist in the handling of the incident as well as provision of security to enable the emergency workers including the Ghana National Fire Service, NADMO, and the Ambulance Service to manage the situation.
The general public has also been advised to move out of the area to nearby towns for their own safety while recovery efforts are underway. An appeal is also being made to nearby towns to open up their classrooms, churches, etc to accommodate surviving victims.
