Brandi Marie Carlile, born June 1, 1981 in Ravensdale, Washington, is an American singer-songwriter and producer who works in a variety of genres.
Carlile is currently working on her seventh studio album, which will be released in 2021. In 2019, she established the Highwomen, an all-female quartet alongside Amanda Shires, Maren Morris, and Natalie Hemby. The Highwomen, the group’s debut album, was released in 2019 to critical praise and financial success. Two years after the album’s release, the trio won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song for the song “Crowded Table.”
