Alexandra Emefa Tay Is The New Addition to Black Princesses Ahead of U-20 Women’s World Cup
Alexandra Emefa Tay, a defender for Seattle United in the ECNL, has been called up to train with the Black Princesses in anticipation of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
The U-20 women’s squad of the nation has been camping in preparation for the 11th iteration of the competition since June.
For the camping trip, Yusif Basigi’s girls have been stationed on Cape Coast. The group welcomed “the newest addition” to the defense on Tuesday.
Known for her strong morals, Alexandra Tay has spent the last several years playing for Seattle United ECNL.
She will train with the ten defenders who have already been called up in hopes of making the team’s final squad.
On Monday, September 2, Ghana will meet Austria in Group E to start her campaign. Later, she will play Japan and New Zealand.
