Who is Baltasar and why this comparison?
Baltasar Ebang Engonga, a well-known political figure in Equatorial Guinea, has been at the centre of a major moral scandal.

He has been linked to several women, some pregnant, others married to ministers, military officials and even his own colleagues. His reputation remains tarnished and a similar affair has broken out in Cameroon.
A woman’s nightmare unfolds
The man’s heartbroken wife shared her distress with the public. “I need urgent help ,” she pleaded. ” I regret touching my husband’s phone. Since then, my blood pressure has skyrocketed. I was hospitalized and have just been released. “
What she discovered left her shocked. Her husband had been exchanging messages with several married women, sending them money for contraceptives and even to cover abortion costs. “ He sends 50,000 CFA francs here, 30,000 there. Some say they are pregnant, and he sends them 100,000 CFA francs to get rid of them ,” she revealed.
Her pain didn’t stop there. She found explicit messages: photos, videos and shocking confessions. “ He even sends pictures of his private parts. I can’t believe what I’m reading. No wonder I feel sick. This man is giving me STIs. If it wasn’t for God, I would already have HIV ! ” she said, devastated.
Worse still, he shows no remorse. He didn’t even visit her in hospital. ” He doesn’t care about his three children or our future. I feel completely trapped ,” she confessed. Social media is full of opinions.
Many sympathize with the woman, while others are shocked that a man can juggle so many relationships. Some even suggest that this is just the tip of the iceberg – who knows how many other women might come forward? With this shocking revelation, Cameroon has its own version of the Baltasar scandal.
