Ghanaians Reacts After NPP MP Revealed That Government Will Soon Arrest “People” Who Stake Bet
Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Hon Samuel Amoah revealed in an interview on Abusua FM (96.5MHZ) in Kumasi that government in a way to curb sports betting will start arresting under age people who stake it. The reason for his statement is that betting is gradually destroying the youth in Ghana.
He revealed that he will make sure he starts from his constituency, that is Nhyiaeso. He revealed that they won’t only arrest under age children who stake bet but will also make sure those who smoke weed and drink alcohol are all apprehended. He added that if they start arresting such people it will clamped down crime in the country.
After he made this statement reached on social media, many people have shown they do not agree with him. The comments which has been made are comments which all seeks to reject the idea of the government.
According to some people, if the government is planning of undertaking such a step then they should provide enough jobs in the country.
