A man from Agona near Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region is said to have shot himself to death.

A man from Agona shoots himself: The 30-year-old deceased, who has only been given the name Divine, is accused of shooting himself after preparing himself spiritually for gunshot wounds.

The dead apparently shot himself in the foot and ribs in that order, however neither shot was successful.

Convinced that the juju had succeeded, he allegedly shot his head at close range causing the bullet to penetrate through to the other side of his head.

His remains have been sent to the Dunkwa On-Offin Mortuary for storage and an autopsy.

Yaw Boagyan of Kasapa News found out that the local youth often turn to juju to avoid being fired at.

The Youth, however, have been cautioned against relying on spiritual protection from gunfire, since it may prove ineffective.

Diaso law enforcement has opened a probe into the incident.
