Michael Pitt is an American actor, musician, and model. He is known for his roles in the teen drama ‘Dawson’s Creek, NBC’s sitcom ‘Hannibal’ and HBO’s series ‘Boardwalk Empire. He is also known for his performances in the films Murder by Numbers’, ‘The Dreamers, ‘Funny Games’ and ‘The Village’. As a musician, Pitt has played the guitar in the band Pagoda.
He has also modeled for a number of designer campaigns. Very few people know that he is also a director besides being an actor and musician.
What happened to Michael Pitt?
According to TMZ, actor Michael Pitt was arrested and brought to the hospital after an extremely public outburst in New York City last Friday.
Pitt was wheeled along a Brooklyn sidewalk while strapped to a gurney and surrounded by EMS staff, most likely to an ambulance that was waiting.

TMZ obtained this photograph. Pitt appears to be in a trance as he lies down on the stretcher, first looking up at the sky and then leaning his head to the side.
Pitt had another run-in with the authorities in July, when he was detained for assault and petty larceny at the same place.
The actor allegedly snatched a man’s phone out of his hand and repeatedly punched him in the head before taking the phone.
Luckily, the man suffered only minor injuries.
In New York, a person who is placed on an involuntary psych hold can only be held for 72 hours, unless the hospital petitions a judge to keep the patient, and then only for a maximum of 60 days total. We don’t know Pitt’s current status.
